Lynda Kennedy is registered with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT200, RYT500 and YACEP.
~~Practicing yoga since the early 70's, Lynda taught her first class for a Parks and Recreation Department as part of a fitness program in 1974. She has years of practical experience and has worked with several different instructors. She has a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology, which gives her insight into the movement of the human body, two years of Nursing, and a Bachelors of Science in Clinical Psychology.
Lynda is the owner/operator of Yogachelan Yoga Studio in the beautiful resort town of Chelan, WA. She is a E-RYT200, RYT500, YACEP, and RYS has YogaFit Yoga Anatomy and YogaFit Plus certifications. Lynda has created a class just for those students with needs for modifications for their yoga practice, i.e., recovering from injuries, arthritis, extra weight, back issues, etc. This class is called Sloga, slow gentle yoga, focusing on everyday life functional movement, which is also Yogachelan's beginner class. Additionally she has developed a practice for Seniors, which she calls Mature Movers, focusing on the movements that improve quality of life as we age. Power yoga is a passion too, keeping and improving our strength, flexibility, and of course enjoying some inversions. Lynda is also an avid golfer and teaches a Yoga for Golfers class in the Spring.
In 2011, Lynda began volunteering with the Wenatchee Wellness Program which now offers an outreach Wellness Program Yoga in Chelan which Lynda teaches. The classes are held at the studio and are designed for cancer survivors, people living with illnesses, and caregivers.
Lynda is passionate about Yoga and sharing the health benefits it can provide to everyone.
Loving the outdoors, Lynda is always ready for a yoga pose with nature. She hikes, back packs, snow shoes, plays golf, and loves SUP yoga.
Lynda's spiritual name, Sat Dharam Kaur, which means the Princess/Lioness of God who fearlessly treads the path of truth and righteousness.
