Online Teacher Training in the Pandemic Era

Member-Wide Ethical Commitment

The Yoga Alliance Ethical Commitment came in response to membership asking for greater clarity on how to best welcome all who wish to practice yoga. Its three-pronged approach asks members to review and understand all Yoga Alliance policies and abide by an updated Code of Conduct, a new Scope of Practice, and a shared awareness of and responsibility to equity in yoga.

Emergency Relief

The Yoga Alliance Foundation launched an Emergency Fund in support of those hardest hit by COVID-19. Phase two of this work—the Eka Recovery Fund—introduces a “Teaching for Equity” pilot program focusing on the intersection of economic recovery, yoga service, and community outreach.

Master Class | Pratyahara: Entering the Doorway of the Senses with Darren Main (E-RYT 500, YACEP)

Yoga teacher, meditation instructor, and author Darren Main hosts a special Master Class event combining asana practice with yoga philosophy. In the first of this new monthly Master Class series, participants study Pratyahara, the fifth Limb of Yoga, which calls on the senses to help practitioners tap into the deepest layers of consciousness where true change can occur.
