Jacki Routhenstein began taking yoga classes in the 1980's. Over the years she has been influenced by the many teachers she has studied with, including Theresa Rowland, Matt Dreyfus, Amy Hamilton, Kofi Busia, HS Arun, Stephanie Quirk and Abhijata Iyengar. Jacki graduated from the American Yoga Academy 200 hour teacher training program and then began learning Iyengar yoga from Theresa Rowland at Studio Yoga. She has been learning there since May 2015. She is currently taking classes towards her 500 hour certification. Jacki has a small studio, Keter Yoga, in her home where she teaches private lessons and studio classes. She also teaches Yoga Fundamentals at Studio Yoga.
Jacki travels each year to Ofakim, Israel to teach yoga to residents that are suffering from the effects of living with PTSD. This area is extremely close to the Gaza border and thus is highly effected by the bombings and violence.
Jacki has a BFA in art from Tyler School of Art, and a MA in education from Villanova University. Jacki's style of teaching draws from her Iyengar training and is allignment based.
