PHILOSOPHY
The concept of ‘union’ is intrinsic to the practice of yoga. A union of mind and body, of strength and softness, of resolve and flexibility, of determination and playfulness and success and failure. These paradoxes bring to the practice obstacles along with a sense of spiritual, physical and mental growth. The practice is also a firm and inspiring teacher. In the oppositional elements forming the building blocks of the practice of yoga key messages are equilibrium, stillness and dynamism. Yoga to me is a playground of challenges. It has taught me humility, resolve, determination and quiet. I endeavour to find constant dynamism to challenge the mind and body towards stillness.
