Dr. David Frawley (Pandit Vamadeva Shastri) is a Vedic teacher and Acharya. He is the author of more than 50 books published in 20 languages worldwide. His fields of expertise include Yoga, Ayurveda, Vedanta, Vedic astrology and ancient Vedic texts. He links Yoga today back to its ancient roots extending to Vedic texts, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutras. He has been honored with the Padma Bhushan Award, the third highest civilian award of the government of India. He has a D.Litt from S-VYASA (Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana), the only deemed Yoga university in India. And, he works with a number of organizations in India including India Foundation, Nalanda University in Bihar and Sanchi University in Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Frawley is one of the founding advisors of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) in the United States and a master educator for the Chopra Center and guides their Mantra Meditation teacher’s training program.
